🎥 The Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme and Arctic Frontiers are happy to invite you to the exclusive premiere of "Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold".American climber Alex Honnold, renowned for his role in the highly acclaimed documentary 'Free Solo,' has embarked on a fresh adventure documented in the movie 'Arctic Ascent.' Honnold and his team undertake an expedition to Eastern Greenland, with the goal of conquering one of the world's tallest unclimbed natural monoliths. Teaming up with glaciologist Heïdi Sevestre, AMAP, they aim to collect crucial climate data for scientific research, contributing to our understanding of the changing climate in the Arctic.

🌟 Special Guests: The movie will be introduced by a discussion on why snow and ice matter in a changing Arctic between Alex Honnold (remotely), Kristin Harila, record holding mountaineer, and Dr. Heïdi Sevestre.
